Who I am
Let me introduce myself. My name's Anna Brini and I'm from Bologna. I have a First Class degree with honours in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Bologna. It goes without saying that I am also a qualified Tour Guide, Tour Leader and Nature Guide in both English and French.
Since 1998 I have worked with GAIA, the association of authorised tour guides and interpreters which perhaps counts the largest number of tour guides in Bologna among its members, and I am currently in charge of organising theme tours.
For my own pleasure and for friends I enjoy planning very special "adventure trips".
I am an active caving enthusiast and since 1989 I have been an operative member of the Corpo Volontario Soccorso Civile, which is involved in activities of civil defence, caving, trekking, and climbing.
My curiosity and insatiable desire to learn new things have led me to cultivate a particular interest in art, local history and natural sciences. I have long worked together with the major institutions, the City Council, museums, associations and regional park authorities, in order to find out more about the exceptional cultural and natural heritage of my city and province so that I can teach others about it with awareness and professional skill. |
