Meeting Point and technical information
MEETING POINT
NEPTUNE FOUNTAIN is on the Main Square (Piazza Maggiore), in a restricted area, so it is possible to reach it only on foot or by blue car with driver.
Private coaches have to ask for special permission to the Municipality of Bologna (www.comune.bologna.it) or to the local traffic officers department in order to approach the historical center.

 In MALPIGHI SQUARE (Piazza Malpighi) there is the dropp-off/pick-up spot for coaches.
A 15 minutes stop is allowed during which the driver CANNOT leave the bus.
It is not a parking area so coaches have to leave Piazza Malpighi and can park at the bus station (fee to pay, www.autostazionebo.it) or they can park for free in the fair district area, outside the city walls.

PUBLIC BATHROOMS are free and they are located in Via IV Novembre.

ENTRANCE FEES: during the CLASSICAL BOLOGNA itinerary there are no entrance fees to pay. In Bologna most part of monuments and museums are free.
CHECK POINT: NO.
WEARING APPAREL: in Bolognese churches covered shoulders/knees are requested. Backpacks are STRICTLY forbidden inside the Basilica of Saint Petronius and a wardrobe service is not foreseen.
