Bologna, home to Europe's oldest university, also hosts a wealth of museums and art galleries, a natural development considering its long-held tradition of culture and knowledge. The guided tours and the museums themselves are structured in such a way as to be interactive and therefore more interesting for the visitor. Three half or full day tours combining museum visits with on-site exploration, providing the visitor with a more complete understanding of the dynamics behind archeological research and excavation. The sites are located in protected areas of spectacular natural beauty.
